Reminder From Our Club President
Reminder from NEKFGA President & Chair of Safety Subcommittee:
NEKFGA Members,
We now have over 10 Range Safety Officers (RSOs) plus 4 Chief Range Safety Officers (CRSOs) who are trained volunteers who are making rounds on NEKFGA ranges. They will ordinarily be easily identi-fied by orange vests, t-shirts, or a red ID badge. We have had a set of range rules since 2012 which apply to all members and guests on the property leased or owned by NEKFGA. All guests must have a liability form filled out, a portion from that document stays with the guest, while the other portion remains in the box. Anyone can ask to see your gate access card, so we recommend you keep it on your person. No gate access card may be loaned to anyone else. CRSOs & RSOs & club officers are making checks during this very busy time on the ranges. Please stay inside & outside the gates long enough to allow it to close so we do not inadvertently allow unauthorized people on the property. Guests may use our range only once and must be accompanied by an NEKFGA member. We have encountered some unacceptable conduct, abusive comments, and threatening behavior which cannot be tolerated. We are working hard to keep everyone safe, within our established rules, and in compliance with posted signage. Please work with us to make your experience positive as we correct some of the issues brought up to us by paying members. Thank you.
Carl Beatty, NEKFGA President, Chair of Safety Subcommittee, Chief Range Safety Officer
